January 2006

Hi all!

Well, the new year has fallen upon us. As I sit here in this cell in Newgate Prison cursing King, country and Cromwell (and my fading powers of alliteration) I start to think my split personality may need addressing before they start charging me twice to enter gigs and football grounds!

The Freeborn John Beautful Days Live is mixed, finished indeed, by the Executioner in record time. Mr P. Johnstone deserves plaudits or garlands or some such for this may be his finest yet. The pictures are being edited now and once combined the DVD should truly reveal how old yet beautiful we all are in technicolour. You, the great and good of the shires, can then come safely out of hiding and take up your lives of debauchery and criminality once more whilst shouting "We told you so, have faith the old gits have pulled it off (ouch) again!" to anyone drunk enough to listen.

I will let you know the release date in due course.

I thank you all,
Revvie xxx

January 2007

Dear All,

Freeborn John Live!, the musical, the stage show, the riddle wrapped inside an enigma is now on sale!

A story some 360 years old arrives a mere 7 months late! Phew! Recorded live at Beautiful Days 2005 this fine package contains two discs: one CD and one DVD, oh how Lilburne would have loved this! However he would have had little to play it upon. Poor Johnny, but lucky you!

Levellers, New Model Army, Rory McLeod, Maddy Prior, Romney Getty, Harry S. Fulcher, Phil Johnstone, The English Civil War Society and Revvie all on the same stage, by George, what more could we want...don't answer that just grab them while you can for £12.99 plus £1.00 p&p from www.revhammer.com

See you in heaven, you lovely people, your glorious leader,
The Revmeister xxx

Thanks for your support and patience.

June 2008

Post-Freeborn John Tour

Good day to you all, well we did it, we got by with a little help from our friends. We finally got The Freeborn John touring circus rolling and had some wonderful nights in some beautiful venues.

Thank yous to all the ticket buyers, the street hawkers and the breakfast fryers…… the bus drivers and the sky divers, the Bishop and all the clergy. The re- enactors, those that came by cart and those that came by tractors…. those that spent their time backstage in the company of Max Factor. To all the many splendid musicians: Phil and Harry who've trodden every stone with me since 1996. Jon, Mark and Simon, Levellers in the best tradition, Dave B., Justin, Nelson, Michael and Dean, the best band we ever had. Maddy and Rose… a Maddy and Rose amongst thorns. Rory and his story. Tommy Tee for the cakes, Paul Harvey for listening, Matt who lit up our world. Laura Farrow for not panicking under fire, Dave Farrow for not firing under panic and all The Freeborn people who stepped forward to sing Bonnie Besses, you know who you are Rose and Jo et al.

Now, if you have photos we need 'em. Please e mail 'em to the webmeister.

The Lost Songs or indeed the New Ones: Every Woman's Pain and Lowlands of Holland will go up on myspace very soon so you can download and be complete in your Freeborness.

Once Again, Thank You.

Rev
